You will:

- Advise the Chief Executive, Corporate Leadership Team, elected members, Scrutiny and Audit Committee.
- Lead the Medium-Term Financial Strategy, budget setting, forecasting, savings and long-term financial planning.
- Oversee governance, assurance, risk, audit, treasury management and financial control.
- Continue to strengthen the finance function’s insight, advice and support to services.
Delivering Trafford’s Priorities
Our Corporate Plan sets a clear direction for improving outcomes, supporting inclusive growth, tackling climate change and widening access to culture, sport and heritage. As Director of Finance, you will ensure financial planning supports these priorities and enables sustainable delivery.
Leading Across Council, Place and Partnership
Trafford is a dynamic borough with the scale, complexity and profile to offer a meaningful leadership challenge. You will operate at the heart of corporate decision-making, bringing professional independence, political awareness and evidence-based recommendations to complex choices.
Working with the Chief Executive, Corporate Leadership Team, elected members and partners, you will translate ambition into sustainable delivery while leading in a way that reflects Trafford’s EPIC values: Empower, People-Centred, Inclusive and Collaborate.
